Whiskey and the Devil at Petskull Brewing
It was a cold, breezy night and I was feeling less like going out to see music by the minute. Luckily the peer pressure texts wore me down before I found my fuzzy jammy pants, because I'm sure glad I didn't miss this show.
Since my big move, I am having a bit of a hard time adjusting to the idea that everyone's favorite bands to go see are cover bands. Perhaps I just haven't found it yet, but it seems that there is a serious lack of original music in my new town.
There is nothing wrong with cover bands, and I have seen some talented ones in my life, but I do appreciate original music. Watching and listening to people play music is an amazing thing. Seeing someone put their heart and soul into something that THEY created is a different thing altogether.
Whiskey and the Devil was just what I needed. Original, talented, and loud. It was an excellent show and I look forward to seeing them again.
