Bacchus Lotus at Petskull Brewing
I think this was the fourth or fifth day in a row I was at Petskull to see music. The band played under the giant tent, which is great for staying out of the sun and not needing to stop the show if it rains, but less great for taking photographs. It's pretty dark under there (as far as a camera is concerned) and the lack of stage lights can make photos fairly uninteresting.
Luckily, the band is interesting, so that helps. I did the best I could with what I had and I think I got a few decent shots. The way the light comes through the seams in the tent and shines on the wrinkles in the canvas sort of makes it look like there are stage lights. I managed to get a couple where they line up with the band, which I think makes for an interesting effect.
As always, Bacchus Lotus put on an excellent show. They are a great band, have a knack for drawing a huge crowd, and getting most of them on their feet dancing. See this band if you have the chance.
