Kate Voss and the Hot Sauce was... hot!
Everything about this show was fantastic. The band as a whole is really tight: the guitar player was on fire, the vocals were spot on, and the drummer was really tasteful with his stripped-down kit.
Not only was the band great, the light was incredible too. I've mostly been photographing bands in black and white these days. Some of it has to do with spending a lot of time in places without stage lights, but aside from that there's just something about black and white that I've always loved.
Not tonight, though. I got to the show a bit late, right at the start of golden hour, the hour before sunset when the light is soft, golden, and extremely pleasing (for all of you non-photographers out there). It would have been a crime not to photograph in color during that light.
